Tom Gillard and Sam Brearey from the UK took home the overall title from Robin Inns and Joel Coultas from Australia with 1 point to spare. With 4 of the top 5 teams using P&B sails and all 5 using Winder hulls and Selden masts Team P&B has once again dominated the regatta. Our two Fletcher Sailing team boats finished up in 8th and 10th using some new prototype P&B sails from our loft. Look out for these designs next year coming out of the UK.
Work has begun on our new range of Sharpie sails for the 2012/2013 season and the Brighton and Seacliff Nationals.
In colaboration with P&B in the UK we will be working with the top SA sharpie sailors to build the best sails possible. P&B bring their experiance in the Fireball and 505 class with multiple world champions in both classes using P&B sails.
Stay tuned for more new on the development of these sails. Expect to see the first P&B sharpie sails on the water soon!
